Come along and meet other parents and adult autistics. We tend to go for walks and other outdoor activities, where the emphasis is on having fun, relaxing, respecting and supporting each other. Our informal meetings and events aim to be as welcoming as possible. If you have any social anxieties about attending, please let us know, and we will find a way to make this easier for you. Unfortunately, we cannot support children coming along to these activities but check out our links to family activities and keep an eye on our upcoming respite breaks.
Group support
Solidarity is not an act of charity, but mutual aid between forces fighting for the same objective
Viva KAI
Ultimately, you want to give others the best of you, instead of whats left of you. This is a space to relax refocus and develop. If you want to organise this, please let us know. Likewise, if you are a mental health professional, and would like to support our groups, we'd love to hear from you.
One to one support
Viva KAI was also born out of finding ways to address my own stress. So even though our group activities offer mutual support, we want to make sure any of us can always have a confidential one to one chat with someone with lived experience, and who can also share some real practical stress busting tools. These tend to be good for autistic and non autistic people alike.
None of us can completely escape stress, including me but we can reduce and better manage it.
